Lino It -http://linoit.com/- A site that is kind of like Wall Wisher but I prefer because it allows for the to easily manage multiple boards of stickies. We've used it as a collaborative tool during family nights as it allows those who are given the link to add to a board. Requires registration for primary user. No registration to add to boards. This too also has an iPhone/iPod and iPad App which works well too.
Titan Pad - http://titanpad.com/
A collaborative web tool that allows up to fifteen users to work collaboratively on a piece of writing. Particularly good for students planning a project or peer editing. Requires no login. It would be beneficial to put up a writing sample and to have groups of students work together to identify mistakes, improve sentences, and contribute story ideas.
Google Tools - Google Docs (Spreadsheet, Presentation, Word Processing), Google Calendar, & Google Sites
Google offers a wide range of tools that allows invited users to collaborate together.
Google Docs includes tools similar to the Office Suite and also has the ability to track changes.
Documents - Word Processing app just like Microsoft word
Spreadsheets - Can be tricky to use when adding pictures but nice to collaborate with by creating a matrix of columns and rows for students to work with
Forms - Great as a formative assessment tool. Users fill out a form that has been created for them (in some cases by the teacher) and their responses are then imported to a spreadsheet.
Collections - A great way to share a collection on online material - in the the form of a digital kit - PDFs, images, URLs, documents etc
Google Calendar, is just that, a calendar. However, you can have a master calendar that connects the different calendars you belong to together.
Google Sites is a basic web authoring tool and is simplistic in design but functions nonetheless.
Once you have signed up for a Google account you will have access to all of their tools.
